Hola! My name is Monique Austin, and this is my official Spanish portfolio. In this portfolio you will find all my written experiences related to Spanish learning. I am currently a biology major with a concentration in education. My ultimate goal is to teach biology on the secondary education level. Eventually, I hope to use my background in biology and travel while working in medical laboratories. Spanish will benefit my career in multiple ways because it is the second most spoken language, this course will allow me to connect more with my native Spanish speaking students. It will also be beneficial when I start traveling to other states.

Outside of my coursework, I am an adventurous girl who enjoys her free time! When i am not engaged in academics, you can most likely find me outside. I have a passion for nature trails, hiking, gardening, and kayaking. I am also fairly athletic, so I find a lot of time during the week to work out and walk outdoors. when it comes to my downtime, I am fairly introverted. I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, painting, listening to music, and spending time with my loved ones!
