My name is Muhammad Rabiu. I’m a graduating senior at Old Dominion University, majoring in Cybersecurity with a minor in Computer Science. My academic path has been defined by hands-on research, policy-focused internships, and self-driven projects that combine technical systems with real-world impact.

I was raised between Virginia and Northern Nigeria, which shaped how I approach both problem-solving and leadership. That cultural foundation continues to influence how I move—quiet, intentional, and focused on long-term value.

At ODU, I’ve completed internships focused on cybersecurity risk and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), built cloud-based security projects using AWS, and researched generative AI policy and misinformation. Outside the classroom, I’m developing an AI outreach automation service to help businesses streamline communication and scale responsibly.

As I finish my final semester, I’m preparing to transition into the next phase of my journey: working in cybersecurity, GRC or AI risk—ideally in Atlanta or Northern Virginia. My broader mission is to protect what matters, build systems that last, and lead with clarity and purpose.
