About Me
Hello! My name is Marcus Sowers, and I am a graduate at Old Dominion University with my Bachelors of Science in Cyber Security. I am eager to embark on my professional journey in this dynamic and ever-evolving field. Throughout my educational career at Old Dominion, I have learned a variety of skills and information that will benefit me in my future cybersecurity career! I’ve taken cybersecurity courses that complemented in hands-on experiences including basic cybersecurity programming and networking, cybersecurity techniques and operations, cybersecurity fundamentals, networked system security, operating systems, digital forensics, and entrepreneurship in cybersecurity. Each course allowed me to evolve and helped me learn, improve, and become more efficient with my technical skills! A few of my hobbies include traveling, playing video games, and playing/watching my favorite sports like football and basketball. Throughout this ePortfolio, I would like to showcase my journey and accomplishments I’ve achieved over the past few years at Old Dominion University!

This ePortfolio was created to showcase and describe my educational journey, my accomplishments, and acquired skillsets. I’ve taken time to organize this ePortfolio so it is easy to navigate for anyone visiting! Other than just listing projects and my experience, I’ve also attached examples of my work to demonstrate and explain my knowledge and skills I’ve gained throughout the years. In the “Welcome” page, you are able to locate information about me, content this ePortfolio will provide, and my personal narrative essay I created that gives insight on the journey it took to get to where I am currently at and recognizes my personal growth over my past years in college. Under the “Welcome” tab, you are able to locate my updated resume, my current skills and artifacts, and a final reflection essay for my IDS493 course. I also have a blog page that was created for my CYSE200T course, which you can find under the “Tech & Society” tab.
