Hey, I’m Blake Murphy. I graduated from Potomac High School back in May 2024, and am currently attending Old Dominion University. I was born and grew up in the state of Virginia, and enjoy video games, reading, and long walks. I’ve also volunteered a fair bit in the past, namely during high school alongside the Future Business Leaders of America.

I’m looking to attain my Bachelor’s Degree in ODU to expand my cybersecurity knowledge and secure my future. I’ve been in a few introductory cybersecurity courses back during high school, and recently completed CYSE 200T during my first semester at ODU. Now, I’m excited to learn about the social science aspect of Cybersecurity during my second semester as a freshman.

I also intend on obtaining an internship before the four years are over. I know it’s a requirement for graduation, but I also think that experience itself is the key to succeeding in the field. Internships give you the easiest way to gain that experience, so it’s something I definitely want to look into later down the line.
