My name is Mya Dabney. I am from Richmond, Virginia. I chose ODU because the university is known for its health sciences programs, which correlated with my major, nursing. While trying to decide which college I wanted to go to I spoke with current nurses in my family and my high school nurse. Most of them suggested ODU which sealed the deal! An interesting fact about me is I started weightlifting to build strength. I love to play video games and my favorite game to play is NBA2k. I also like to listen to music and my favorite artist is Lauryn Hill.   I am open minded and disciplined when it comes to schoolwork. I love teamwork because gives me a sense of community and plus its makes task easier and more efficient.
