Hi there!

My name is Olivia Weaver; I am currently a Junior at Old Dominion University studying Cybersecurity as my chosen major. Before choosing to study at ODU, I was fortunate enough to earn a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design. Since that time I have worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic novelist before making a career change in 2024 to pursue cybersecurity as my profession. I am honored to have received the CompTIA Security + and CompTIA CySA + certifications, allowing me to be very familiar with many key concepts within the cybersecurity industry. I hope to use my time at ODU sharpening my technical skills and as well as adding to my existing knowledge to be better prepared for the work force as a cybersecurity analyst in the future.

When I am not studying full time as a student, I am working as a part-time early morning pre-loader for UPS. In my “spare time,” I still enjoy creating and engaging in the art of storytelling as I work on illustrating my own graphic novel pitch as well as reading, writing, working out, and playing video games.
