Hi, I’m Riley. I’m a Cybersecurity major at Old Dominion University and I grew up here in Virginia Beach. After graduating from Kempsville High School, I decided to stay local and start building a career in this area.

I’m still figuring out exactly where I want to land in cybersecurity exactly. Right now I’m interested in governance risk compliance, working in a security operations center, and digital forensics. I’m also working to get lots of certifications.

My goal is to work in government contracting somewhere in the Hampton Roads defense corridor. There’s a lot of need for cybersecurity people here, and I want to be one of them.

This site is where I’ll keep track of that journey. You’ll find my coursework, the skills I’m picking up, and the projects I build along the way.
