Dr. Ryan Klinger is an Associate Professor of Management who joined the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University in 2011. He holds a PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of Florida.

His research interests lie at the intersection of organizational behavior and human resource management. More specifically, Dr. Klinger’s research examines the individual-level and group-level predictors of organizational criteria such as job satisfaction, job performance, and career success.

In addition, his research explores how organizations are best served capitalizing on this knowledge when making important human resource decisions.

This research has been published in journal outlets including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Applied Psychology: An International Review, and Social and Personality Psychology Compass.

Dr. Klinger currently teaches three courses for the MBA program in the Strome College of Business: MBA695 – Emotional Intelligence; MGMT605 – Leadership Dynamics; MGMT612 – Managing in Contemporary Organizations. He also teaches courses at the undergraduate level in Organizational Behavior (MGMT330) and Contemporary Business (BUSN110).
