Hi, my name is Michelle Shufelt. I am from Northern Virginia and a Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia. I work in the Progressive Care Unit at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. I have been working there since December 2020 and started as a Nurse on the Unit in April 2022. I have a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech and my Associate’s Degree in Nursing from NVCC. I am working on my Bachelor’s in nursing at Old Dominion University and plan to finish in December 2024. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the area, spending time with friends, and mostly with my husband and our two cats. We just welcomed our first child in the world and are enjoying the life of first time parents.

I chose to pursue my BSN at ODU because my brother goes to school there, and my aunt also finished her Nursing degree there. ODU also makes it very convenient to take classes remotely and online from anywhere, and they have great counselors to help you with your classes and finish your degree.
