Hello! My name is Sarah Adkins and I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 13 years. I was born and raised in Texas, but I currently live and work as a full time dental hygienist in Bluffton, South Carolina. I graduated with an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene in 2009, recently graduated in 2020 with Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and continue to pursue a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene at Old Dominion University.

After completion of the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene, I hope to pursue a full time faculty position at a college of dental hygiene. After obtaining years of experience as an educator, I ultimately would like take on an administrative role as a program director of a dental hygiene program. My current research interests focus on the how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the profession of dental hygiene, including impacts on faculty, clinicians, and students.
