My name is Emiliano Sanchez, I was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. I’m currently 27 years old and just beginning my road to earning a bachelors degree in cybersecurity. Before starting school I served eight years active duty in the Navy and now currently in the Navy reserves. During my time in the Navy I’ve had a lot to think about while traveling the world. Who am I at this point? What is the next chapter for my life? What is my next career going to be? I discovered cybersecurity through friends I’ve met while in the service. Playing a lot of videogames together online opened this new door and fueled my curiosity for technology and computers. I see now cybersecurity and technology is a becoming a growing passion of mine.
