Stephanie Bettis is a dedicated instructor at Germanna Community College, specializing in Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting. With over fifteen years of clinical experience and two years in academic instruction, she brings a practical, real-world perspective to her teaching. Her short-term goals include enhancing her instructional strategies to support student success and remaining actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Dental Education Association (serving as Secretary for the Dental Assisting Section) and the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association. In the long term, she aspires to grow into a program director or take on a leadership role within allied dental education to further contribute to curriculum development and faculty mentorship.

Her research interests center around exploring interprofessional collaboration among allied healthcare providers to improve patient care and educational outcomes. She is committed to advancing excellence in dental hygiene and assisting through student-centered learning, collaborative practice, and meaningful community outreach.
