I am a Health Services Administration major at Old Dominion University, currently interning at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in the Med-Surg/Oncology Unit. I am passionate about client and stakeholder services, with a strong interest in healthcare management and satisfaction. Through hands-on experience and academic training, I aim to contribute to improving healthcare delivery by fostering efficient operations, enhancing patient care, and supporting positive relationships within healthcare systems.
Provide a brief overview of your internship site: My internship site is Inova Health System on the Medical-Surgical Unit at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, where I work as a Unit Secretary. Inova Mount Vernon is a non-profit, 237-bed community hospital in Alexandria, Virginia, offering acute care, emergency services, and specialized programs such as joint replacement, rehabilitation, wound healing, behavioral health, and critical illness recovery. My role supports nursing staff, coordinates patient care, and helps maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment.
