Bio
Hello, my name is Lavontae Lassiter, I am a third-year student studying Sport Management at ODU from Fayetteville North Carolina. I am not passionate about much because football takes all of my passion and energy away from other things, I am in LOVE with the game of football, and if I could marry it I would, if there was only an option for me to watch one thing every day it would be football. I was always joking about becoming a coach, my teammates would even call me coach on occasion but it wasn’t until an unfortunate event(season/career ending surgery) happened to me before my senior night that made me realise this coaching thing could very well be reality. My coaches would hear me talk about it and they pitched the idea to me when I returned to our playoff practices in my arm sling, they said I should go for it, they didn’t know it but I will forever be grateful for my coaches planting that seed in my head to chase my dream. My coaches words lead me to alot of things, such as the choosing of attending ODU, the picking of my major, and most importantly what I actually want to do which is be an Offensive Coordinator (eventually leading to a head coaching job) at the college/professional level.

This blog is something I’ve created to document my experiences, thoughts, and discoveries within the world of sports. Whether it’s sharing personal stories, insights from my studies, or highlighting sports events and trends, I hope this space becomes a place to connect with others who share the same enthusiasm. The string of assignments that are attached to this blog will be one (don’t tell my other professors this) that I actually put my all into making it look neat, I can’t wait to see the finished product!
