I am a proud Navy retiree and a disabled veteran. I have a background in Human Resources and electronics (Yes, quite the combination!). I am a certified 911 dispatcher in the state of Virginia and, I volunteer teaching basic computer skills and lower-level math. My first major was Criminal Justice with a minor in Homeland Security. All of my past jobs and education have encompassed Homeland Security in some form. Helping people is my passion. Computers are my getaway. I learned computers when I first entered the Navy and I am a hobby PC builder and I enjoy learning anything I can about computers, computing, programming languages, and technology. I am currently working towards a career in Cybersecurity, which seems natural as a follow-on to my past. I am very new to an actual degree program in this field, however; I have enough hobby experience to help me through.
