All About Me

My name is Rebecca Snyder. I am currently transitioning into my fourth and final year of undergrad at Old Dominion University. I am a business student who is majoring in Accounting and I am minoring in Psychology. A lot of people usually question why I decided to pair accounting and psychology, however, my reasoning is pretty simple. I just really enjoy learning about psychology. AND it does actually help me think about the people side of things in the business world instead of just focusing on the number side of things in accounting. So far in my professional life, my knowledge of psychology has already helped me. I decided to take Social Psychology specifically as one of my classes because I am hoping to learn how someone’s thoughts and feelings might be influenced by something they see or experience and how I can apply that into my professional life.  Besides school, I am also a math tutor for elementary, middle, and young high school kids, specifically through Algebra 2, and I absolutely love it. My overall goal is to graduate undergrad next spring, begin working in the accounting field, and then get my Masters and become a CPA all within the next 2 and a half years! Long term, I think I might consider becoming a college professor, but who knows!
