My name is Akia Stegall. I am currently an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University, majoring in psychology and minoring in human services. I am a Texas girl living in Virginia while my husband completes his service in the US Navy. I have no children of my own but plenty of students I care for as a special education teacher assistant. I am also a registered behavior technician working one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum. My current goals include graduating in the fall and pursuing a master’s in psychology with a focus on behavior analytics. I want to work as a board-certified behavior analyst ushering ABA into the Texas public school systems!

One of my favorite classes so far was actually interpersonal relations. I learned so much about the dynamics of communication, and it gave me a different perspective on my personal and professional relationships. I chose to take this course because I want to learn more about interpersonal relations from a psychological perspective.
