My name is Stephanie Duffney. Originally from Zion, IL, I was raised in Virginia Beach, and made Chesapeake, VA my home where I raised 4 children (only 1 left to graduate!) with my husband of almost 30 years. We married and started our family very young, so my college education was postponed. I’ve been a Medical Assistant (NR-CMA) since 1998 and worked in dermatology and family practice. I am very excited to finally pursue my college dream and obtain my BSN! I chose ODU due to the reputation of their nursing program. One of my daughters graduated ODU in 2021 and a brother in 2005, so I’m joining the tradition! I enjoy singing, playing handbells, reading, baking, and gardening.
