Lets learn about me:
My name is Steven Geter, and I’m a sophomore attending Old Dominion University. I am pursuing a Cybersecurity Major with no minors at the moment. I am from Doswell, Virginia, and attended Patrick Henry High School for all four years of my education. In my free time, I love to play basketball and work out; those two things take my mind away from everything stressful and allow me to have fun. When I’m not doing those things, I enjoy taking naps, playing video games, spending time with friends, and watching sports and movies. My favorite food is spaghetti, especially when my mom makes it, and I love it when it’s paired with sweet tea. The reason why I chose Old Dominion University is that I wanted to experience something different than being in Richmond and what my high school showed. It is more modern, with lots of opportunities to learn from others and grow to help you with future job opportunities. It wasn’t the closest to home, but it has allowed me to learn more about myself and how I respond to independence. The community of Old Dominion wants to help you succeed not just at school, but moving forward into your future, which is essential. Personal traits that would represent me are that I’m very competitive, but in a good way. I like to succeed and and very passionate about winning. I’m hard-working and will be very cooperative when working with others. I personally feel like I’m a decent listener, but I definitely can be better at understanding. I don’t have too much knowledge or previous history of the Cybersecurity field, but I am currently taking classes in school involving cybersecurity, Linux, and programming. For my professional focus right now I want to be able to establish a great job in the cybersecurity field that me learn and provide aid to people and has great pay.
