Coming Back to my Second Language Home. . .

When I was first learning to speak, my family moved to Mexico City for a year, so Spanish was the first language I learned. When I was 12, we lived in Mallorca for a year, and I went to a Spanish-speaking school where no one spoke English. Although I have not spoken much Spanish since that time, I think that Spanish is ingrained as part of my language identity. I look forward to refreshing and learning anew as I work towards increased fluency and fluidity in Spanish!
