Hello, I am Trey Heinrich. I was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, with a short stint in Florida. Upon graduating high school in 2012, I went on to Thomas Nelson Community College where I obtained my Associate Degree in Social Science, prior to transferring to Old Dominion University. In 2017, I graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Shortly after graduation, I moved to Florida to begin my career in law enforcement. I was first employed at the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office where I worked as a patrol deputy for one year prior to moving back to Virginia and continuing my law enforcement career with James City County Police Department. I have a total of 5 years in law enforcement where I developed an interest in cybersecurity and cyber forensics. I transitioned out of law enforcement to pursue a degree in cybersecurity and work at Huntington Ingalls Industries. I am a Visual Work Instruction Developer where I use Siemens software programs to develop technical data packages for the new Ford Class aircraft carriers and Columbia Class submarines.
