Someone with purely an Academic Interest in Cybersecurity

Greetings,

My name is Timothy Barrett, and I am a veteran of the United States Navy. This is my first semester taking classes in Cybersecurity, so I have little to enter as of 9/19/2024. I have no professional goals as I am going to be a stay-at-home dad, so my interest in this field is purely academic, and I will have no use for this degree should I finish it. Cybersecurity is something that I have a bit of interest in, so I figured it would be worth working on in the event that I want to be able to say, “Yes, I have a degree.” Below is a recent picture of myself.
