My name is Tara and I am a non-traditional Senior student at ODU. I am working towards my Bachelors is Biology with a Minor in Psychology. I plan to apply to medical school after graduation from ODU and completing a Physician Assistant program, ideally at EVMS. I work fulltime at GEICO as an Underwriter for the Motorcycle department and have been with the company for 13 years.  I live in Virginia Beach, VA with my husband and our three cats, George, Sally and Calliope.

I am taking this course not only because it is part of my degree program but because social psychology is important for maintaining a healthy life balance. Understanding how the behavior of individuals is influenced by their surroundings and society will give me an important insight needed to be a healthcare professional. I hope to learn something about myself and experience growth as well in my continuing psychology studies.
