Hola! Me llamo es Tyra Dadson

I am 24 years old and currently, I am in my Senior year at Old Dominion University, Majoring in English with a concentration in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages and with a Minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. In this Portfolio, you will find content related to my experiences in learning Spanish. Learning Spanish will be particularly helpful to me, as I intend to become a K-12 English as a Second Language Teacher. It is very possible that Spanish will be the first language of some of my future students, as well as that of their families.

My knowledge of Spanish will allow me to communicate with them more effectively and build a foundation upon which for their learning of English. It will also help me to create culturally sensitive and interactive activities and lesson plans that are both educational and enjoyable.
