The hardest part

I can get a server running from scratch: content properly cached, network access restricted, .htaccess rules perfected, Fail2ban configured, PHP-FPM and mod_security going, I’ll do it all. Chase down all the errors, all the funky PHP quirks and maybe even edit some outdated plugins by hand to get them to work properly. I’ll even run the whole server unexposed to the net, then have a job run every so often to export it to a static host… the idea being that WordPress is significantly more secure running from an S3 bucket.

All that. All the bells and whistles of a sleek, fast, effective website. I can do it. The hard part? It’s always… always, writing the actual content for it.

I’m the type that only likes to speak when I have something good to say. I can write just for content’s sake, but at the end of the day if it’s not something I myself would want to read it’s likely going to end up lost in the drafts pile.

Maybe you’ll see more here soon. Maybe not. We’ll see.
