About me

My name is Zacoreon Frierson, and I have recently transferred from Tidewater Community College to Old Dominion University so that I can earn my bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Risk Management. After I graduate, I plan to join the Air Force and become an officer. My main goal is to help as many people as I can with the skills that I have acquired over my life. I also like to travel, so the main reason I am joining the military is the fact that those are two big components of the job.

Currently Studying

Right now I’m working to get my CompTIA Security+ certificate. After that, I would like to get a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Both of these are entry-level certificates that can help a lot when it comes to finding jobs in the IT field. I am also taking tech classes at ODU like CYSE 300 Introduction to Cybersecurity, CYSE 200T Cybersecurity, Technology, and Society, and CYSE 432 Cyber Risk CSF/CMMC.

Personal interest

I love computers and gaming, as it introduced me to the IT field and sparked my interest in cybersecurity. I have an Acer gaming laptop that I upgrade often with new RAM. Recently, I had to replace the screen for it as it broke off. I love music and music history. At the moment, I mostly listen to NU metal and dance pop. I also like to collect vinyls, with most of them being records from the 80s and 90s. My favorite vinyl in my collection at the moment is The Mis-Education of Lauryn Hill.
