Different Issues in Cybersecurity

  1. Describe four ethical issues that arise when storing electronic information about individuals. Their can be computer crime which is a white-collar crime. The people that commit these crimes are very intelligent they are so intelligent that they are able to manipulate the computer system. AN example of computer crime is that of stealing funds form someone else and a lot of the time the people that commit these crimes are only required to return the money or funds they stole. If they are stealing funds form a company they will be fired most likely but they will be hired very quickly because of their skill with computers. So these people are really punished for the crimes.
  2. Another problem with storing people info online is that of privacy if someone where to hack into the system where your info is they will get everything about you and can become you. Or you could have a Microsoft issue where nobody reads all of their terms and agreements and they end up spying on you with their connect which was their camera for their Xbox. They also sold people’s tendencies for marketing purposes to other companies. You also have the issue if you have no back up to all of your info on your computer if your computer decides to crap out on you, you will end up losing everything if you had it all online and no back ups. The government also holds a lot of information on people on what they are viewing and they call it nation security. Electronic information storing is great until you have your computer crap out on you and you lose everything if it was not backed up. You also have the issue that someone can hack the systems where your info is kept and they steel your card numbers to your social security number. So their are draw backs but overall it is very beneficial to keep your info online because their always fail safes if you do it the right way.

2. Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country.

It all depends on which countries you are talking about if you are talking about countries in the EU a they are pretty much the same threats that we have people trying to steal information about people such as card numbers etc. But if you are talking about a country like North Korea they are way different for one they have very limited access to internet and the ones that do are rich and have power and are limited to what they can view. But they also have cybersecurity risks of that of us or an ally country hacking their defense system and disrupting their testing. Or how we did a couple of years ago when they were trying to test one of their missiles we hacked their systems and blew in up before it could take off. We face some of those issues but our DOD has not been breached by Chain or Russia so we don’t really face the same problems as North Korea.
