Cyber Security

How should we approach the development of cyber-policy and -infrastructure given the “short arm” of predictive knowledge?

Cyber Policies are very important as they cover most of the cyber coverage gaps that are out there. Cyber-attacks are more common now than ever given that we are headed to a more and more online society. We have systems and defenses so to say in order to prevent or limit the damage that can be done, but it is very hard to develop such policies because this field is always evolving and changing. It’s really a tough subject to because of it always evolving and its’s really hard for one to grasp the terminology if one is not in this field. You also have to take risk assessment into a count because is a key part in making these policies. There are also so many factors’ companies must look at most importantly the customers information. In terms of how a company should prepare for an attack there are no simply answers on how they should prepare. Unfortunately, it is more about when and where an attack might happen there’s really no way of stopping an attack on your systems. That’s why companies must prepare and have the right systems in place to limit the damage and the down time of their systems. If companies do not have the right software or systems in place, it will cost them so much money, and other people personal information that why we have policies and actions we take to stop an attack. But overall, it is very difficult to make policies in this field because of the nature of it. The fact that it is always changing and evolving one day you might stop an attack one way, but the next day that way does not work. That is why companies really need to keep in mind that they need to have policies in place and infrastructure so that they can limit the damage or prevent it from happening. If their system goes down it can very costly.
