Interview a Health Professional

Here you will put information on your Honors Courses, which will either be (a) Honors General Education courses or (b) Honors Contract courses.

(a) An Honors General Education course will be the courses you sign up for through the registration book in the Perry Honors College office. You will often find courses such as Honors English Composition, Honors Public Speaking, Honors Oceanography, Honors Music History, along with many others in this book. Each semester you will receive an e-mail with the courses available the following semester.

(b) For a Contract Course, please be aware of the following: you must complete the course with a B or higher to receive Honors designation, the course must be a 300 or 400 level course, the course does not have to be in your major, and the only way of processing this kind of credit is through the Contract Course Form found in the office or by e-mailing Perry Honors College at PerryHonorsCollege@odu.edu.

For an Honors Course, please provide any or all of the following: pictures (if applicable), assignments done in the course that reflect what you learned, a reflection of the course and its impact, a description of how this course applies to your life after college, or anything you wish to showcase about the course! We would like you to put as much information as you can into this section so that these can be useful for later employment and career opportunities.

At the bare minimum, we are looking for a paragraph of a summary and reflection. Please also include the date which this was completed. Once finished with your course credit, please send your link to your Honors College Advisor for approval to earn this credit.

Please be sure to separate each of the four required courses and notify your advisor each time you complete a requirement (there are 4 of the Honors Course requirements). You may do this through headings, tabs, space between each section, whatever is best for you to showcase your work! Keep in mind this is something we encourage you to show employers and graduate schools after college, so the more you put into this now, the more it will help you later!
