I am pursuing a nursing major, and I chose to pursue nursing because I grew up with a majority of my family members working in the healthcare field. Additionally, the nurses that were able to comfort my family while my little sister was sick inspired me to become a nurse. I want to become a pediatric nurse in order to be a friend for the children and be a comforting person for the families. I’ve known that I wanted to go into the healthcare field since high school, so I decided to take a class at the Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center. I was able to receive my license to be a Medical Administrative Assistant. At the Technical and Career Education Center, I was able to gain knowledge about the electronic side of the medical field and the anatomy of the human body.
