Review the NICE Workforce Framework. Are there certain areas that you
would want to focus your career on? Explain which areas would appeal
the most to you and which would appeal the least.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support appeals to me the most. The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS) defines cyber defense infrastructure support job description as, \u201ctests, implements, deploys, maintains, reviews, and administers the infrastructure hardware and software that are required to effectively manage the computer network defense service provider network and resources. Monitors network to actively remediate unauthorized activities.\u201d\u00a0 Ideally, I would like to be an ethical hacker. I want to try and hack networks never maliciously but to educate and improve current defense tactics and strategies.\u00a0This would also keep me actively engaged with continuous monitoring of current systems in place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The least area that appeals to me would be Customer Service and Technical Support. NICCS describes customer service and technical support as, \u201caddresses problems; installs, configures, troubleshoots, and provides maintenance and training in response to customer requirements or inquiries (e.g., tiered-level customer support). Typically provides initial incident information to the Incident Response (IR) Specialty.\u201d  It is not that I do not think that I would excel in this area, I just know that I would get bored. There would be no gratification in my work to keep me from perusing other careers.
