ENGL 307T. Digital Writing:

As a digital writing course, this class will expand the concept of what it means to write. Writing is traditionally regarded as the visual representation of the spoken word through alphabetical symbols, yet we know we communicate in so many other ways (or modes), through images, sound, and hypertext (in what’s called multimodal communication). This semester, you’ll analyze examples of digital media and try your hand at producing your own, meanwhile developing a system for analysis and production. You’ll then apply this system by proposing and carrying out the design of a multimodal project that aims to solve a problem. Altogether, you’ll learn what it means to be creative in a digital world.
