However, since it’s a whole bunch of businesses each paying an amount, the pooled money is enough to run the entire system. It would basically be like a databank. You pay to keep your data in a communal vault, instead of trying to buy and upkeep a vault all by yourself.

Funds: Comes from the businesses. Like a subscription.

Sustainability: There would always need to be people working to monitor the data. The security would also consistently be evolving and improving. As long as we have customers, we would have money, though.
