Jacob Hightower
My name is Jacob Hightower. I am a Mechanical Engineering major set to graduate in December 2024 with a minor in Engineering Management. Currently, I serve as the Project Manager and Head of Engineering at Disruptor Maritime LLC. I’m a Navy veteran with 8 years of service, where I developed a strong foundation in leadership, discipline, and teamwork.
I am passionate about the outdoors and take pride in leading teams to complete projects on time and efficiently. After graduation, I plan to pursue my Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification to enhance my skills further. My background in both the military and engineering fields allows me to approach challenges with a unique perspective, ensuring that I deliver solutions that are both efficient and effective.
Angelous Jimenez
My name is Angelous Jimenez. I am a Mechanical Engineering major concentrating in Aerospace, set to graduate in December 2024 with a minor in Engineering Management. Currently, I serve as an Information Technology Specialist at Old Dominion University. With over 2 years of service, I have developed a strong foundation in project management, computer proficiency, and presentation and interpersonal skills.
I am passionate about video games and take pride in troubleshooting problems and developing solutions. After graduation, I plan to pursue a master’s in engineering management to enhance my skills further. My background in information technology and engineering allows me to approach challenges with a unique perspective, ensuring that I deliver efficient and effective solutions.
Christopher Schappi
My name is Christopher Schappi. I am a Mechanical Engineer concentrating in Aerospace with a minor in Engineering Management. Outside the IGVC project, I serve as the lead structural engineer on Mission SeaLion, a cooperative effort between Old Dominion University, the United States Coast Guard Academy, and the Air Force Institute of Technology. In this role, I have led a team of multi-disciplinary undergraduate and graduate students throughout the design process and into assembly integration and testing for a Q1 2025 launch.

Jared DiMillio
My name is Jared DiMillio and I am an Undergrad Mechanical Engineer with a concentration in Aerospace. In the IGV capstone project, I am one of the CAD and suspension specialists working to develop a stable and reliable suspension system for the teams that follow us. Outside of this project, I enjoy learning about technology and computer systems, with an interest in computer hardware.
Reece Jordan

My name is Reece Jordan, a Mechanical Engineering major with a concentration in Aerospace at Old Dominion University graduating December 2024. In the past I served as an executive board member of the National Society of Black Engineers creating events and raising student engagement at Old Dominion University. Along with the participation from multiple student organizations (AIAA, ASME, Rocketry) the skills and networking grown are second to none.
