My name is Nicole Wallace. I am a returning student at Old Dominion University in the Human Service Counseling Program seeking a certification in Substance Abuse Counseling. I am currently enrolled in HMSV 440W for this course assignment on WordPress.

Education

I graduated from Oscar Smith High School in 1995 with honors. I immediately went to Virginia Tech State University for one year. I then transferred to Old Dominion University from 1996 until 2003. I studied for a bachelors degree in Medical Technology with a second major in Counseling. I did not finish my degree. I enrolled at ODU again in the fall semester of 2019 in the Human Service Counseling online program. I plan on completing the additional course work for a certification in Substance Abuse Counseling.

Work History

I have worked and continue to work in the food service and hospitality industry. I currently work two jobs. My first job is in a restaurant in Chesapeake Virginia and my second job is in Norfolk Virginia where we sell re-manufactured ink cartridges and toners.

Strengths

I am able to multi task well. I have good personal skills with the public as a result of working in the hospitality industry. I am able to work on problems quickly and efficiently in order to resume tasks at work. I am very flexible and I am able to adapt well to changes at work and school. I am also very good with time management skills. As a result of working two jobs and attending online school I am well disciplined in the areas of getting things done in a timely fashion.
