Task 5
The stakeholders at Western Tidewater Community Service Board are primarily the employees at the agency. I will be using Integrity and honesty in my evaluation process to ensure trust from the agency. Given the nature of this evaluation I believe that there may be some reservations about giving certain information, however, I believe that honesty and integrity will be key in gaining the trust needed to provide the most accurate information. Being that this evaluation is for a school project and will not negatively affect them.
This form of evaluating is also the best option for the type of questions I’m asking as none of them will corner the shareholders into answering difficult questions. I think that the easy going nature of my question will be beneficial to me receiving the most honest answers from the shareholders. The questions that I am going to be asking are as follows:
Are the services offered at Western Tidewater based on the needs of the community?
Are any of the services provided predetermined by the corporate offices initiatives and what they want to offer?
Do clients report having long term benefits from the services they receive at Western Tidewater Community Service Board?
What type of short-term benefits do clients receive from the services offered?
I plan to conduct brief interviews with several different shareholders at Tidewater Community Service Board in order to get different perspectives on the same topics. Surveys would be a suitable option as well but being that I will only have one day to conduct my research I don’t believe that I will have the time to do a survey. Observation will not help answer the questions that I will be asking as they are more direct questions that call for an individual’s opinion. I believe that both qualitative and quantitative data will be necessary in my evaluation. I am anticipating there being different answers from each of the shareholders so I think that the amount of answers as well as the type of answers will be important to the results of my evaluation.
