“Why are you interested in cybersecurity technology?”

It is a strange experience to grow up in a time where technology is so easily available to anyone, including children; a time where everyone is so heavily reliant and attached to these devices, with such little forethought into the ramifications of no privacy or security. It is concerning how many people are willing to accept all cookies on any website, put sensitive information into untrustworthy websites and continue to do things that could completely jeopardize the security of their data. As technology users get younger and younger the ability and ease of being able to compromise one’s security skyrockets because these children have access to an online world they might not be prepared for. Through my eyes, I only see this situation becoming more relevant as technology continually evolves and expands. There is space for unlimited growth when pursuing a cybersecurity career and a multitude of paths you can take which makes it an extremely attractive occupational choice. I am interested in cybersecurity technology because I am invested in learning about how to protect and defend private data and information whether that be for myself and my family, or for organizations and businesses.
