It is a common belief that it is possible for a computer to be 100% safe. Although there are levels of safety for protected devices, and it is possible to get near that 100% mark, it is not possible to actually make it there. That is because there will always be vulnerabilities and counters to certain methods of protecting devices. When there is a will, there is a way, but it is possible to make that “way” extremely difficult. In order to make your computer feel safe, you can install anti virus and anti spy software in the system. These are a good way to protect your devices from getting manipulated or destroyed. It is also important to keep your computer updated as much as possible. Although it can seem like a tedious thing to do, the developers update the software for a reason, and that reason is usually to create a better, more functional device, which in turn, protects it. Keeping your device not updated can increase your chances in a cyber attack by a lot. Another important step is to keep track of the websites and apps that you enter your information in. This is also a tedious task that can be easily forgotten, but if you were to ever be attacked, having a list that can show exactly what sites you have been on and what sites have your information can significantly reduce the time to fix the issue, by narrowing down all of the possibilities of where that attack could have come from, and then staying away from that site after the damage is fixed. And one last, but very important thing that can do to keep your computer safe is by password protecting the device and software. It is important to have a unique and complicated password that can not be easily thought of, but also easy enough for you to remember.
