I have truly enjoyed this class so much throughout this semester. Being someone who has loved sports my entire life, it has been extremely fun to discuss my fandom of not only my favorite players, but also my favorite moments. Being able to discuss players that may not be mainstream to most, like Bruno Ragean, has sustained a lot of sports for me that I forgot I had. Sometimes, in sports communications classes like this, I feel like a students have to write about certain or specific things that I do not belive they can relate to. I feel like in this class, students are given the chance to wite about whatever sport moment/player they feel is right to write about for the assignment, which I think is not only crucial for the class, but for the student to expand their mind on athletes they not only like, but truly beleive impacted them throoughout their lives.

Another part of this assignment I enjoyed was being given to work with a pen pal of their choosing. For example, I got the chance to work with former Vanderbilt and UFL Center, Bruno Reagan. With my brother playing for Vanderbilt, I have been to more college football games than most, and with me playing center, I gravitated to Bruno more than anyone. Getting to give Bruno “his flowers”, was certainly a joy to me than I belive most could imagine, and as a former offesnive lineman in high school and college, like myself, I am used to not getting much praise, so to do that for someone I very much admire, was a gift to me that I wasnt expecting, and this class/oppurtunuty gave me that chance.

If I could take this class again, I promise you I would. I got the chance to discuss, debate, and promote certain aspects of athletics that I truly did not believe I would ever get to. This class also forced me to pay attention to sports that I would never have given the light of day to, which I think is important to our day and age: To look at every sport and appreciate it for what it is, a competition. Sports are what bring people together, give us common ground in a world that is almost forcing us to divide us constantly, and in this class, I felt I did just that: Brought me closer to my classmates and teacher.
