After reviewing the NICE Workforce Framework, I’ve identified areas that interest me and others that are less appealing. Given my limited knowledge of cybersecurity, I am less interested in the Work Role Categories of Oversight and Governance (OG) and Design and Development (DD). These categories seem to focus on legal and program development aspects rather than hands-on cybersecurity work roles. I am currently interested in the Work Role Categories Implementation and Operation (IO), Protection and Defense (PD), Investigation (IN), Cyberspace Intelligence (CI), and Cyberspace Effects (CE). While I can see myself in any of these categories, I lean towards IN. I’m drawn to work roles like Cybercrime Investigation and Digital Evidence Analysis, which involve analyzing digital evidence. I believe I’d enjoy working as a digital detective. I’m also curious to see how my interests may change as I learn more about the cybersecurity field.
