First, discuss why you think being able to select a citation style and recall its rules is important. Why do we use citation? Why do we chose one style of citation over another? Give an example of a common genre of writing in the field you’re interested in pursuing. What sort of citation style do you think would be appropriate? Why?

Then, describe an exercise you completed which allowed you to practice working with citation. What was difficult for you? What did you do well?
