Maxx Potential’s rotational apprenticeship program provided me with a unique hands-on learning experience, allowing me to develop both technical and leadership skills in different IT disciplines. The program is designed to give apprentices exposure to multiple career paths in Quality Assurance and Testing, Application Maintenance and Support, Information Security, Software Development, Data Management and Reporting and Project Management helping them build a well-rounded skill set before transitioning into full-time roles.
I started my apprenticeship as an IT Project Manager, where I gained experience in:
- Coordinating project timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth execution.
- Managing stakeholder communication and facilitating collaboration between teams.
- Tracking progress using Agile methodologies to optimize efficiency.
After developing my project management and leadership skills, I transitioned into a Cybersecurity Analyst role, where I focused on:
- Threat analysis and incident response, identifying potential vulnerabilities and mitigating risks.
- Security monitoring and log analysis using tools like Windows Defender and Microsoft Sentinelone to detect suspicious activity.
- Policy compliance and risk management, ensuring adherence to cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
Maxx Potential’s structured mentorship and real-world projects allowed me to build technical expertise while working alongside experienced professionals.
