Write Up: Creating Cybersecurity Policies

The organization chosen is Apple Inc. and the policy that will be described is the
Acceptable Use Policy. In this organization, Apple would use this policy to primarily focus on
the guidelines while using products produced by the company. These can include Apple IDs,
App Store usage, iCloud, macOS, and iOS. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all users
use the service in an ethical, responsible, and lawful use. All while respecting the rights of other
users and focusing on safety and integrity.
Apple products can be used for personal and business communication through iMessage,
email, and text messages. Apple services can be used for managing and sharing your own
content through other devices using the Apple feature iCloud. Apple services do not condone
using their services for illegal activities. This can include pirating, pornography, and the
association of illegal substances. Apple services prohibit the harassment and abuse of others.
Apple also prohibits the distribution of viruses, malware, and malicious programs that can harm
others and software devices. Spam and phishing is prohibited by Apple services.
There are several consequences if any of the policy is violated. Legal action can be taken
by Apple from reporting violations. Accounts from Apple associated with prohibited activities
can result in suspension or termination and may lose access to the iCloud service. Apple also
reserves the right to adjust or change these policies at any time. These policies are important to
establish how devices and software should be used. The Acceptable Use Policy makes you agree
to the use of the services for lawful purposes. The agreement also includes respecting the rights,
privacy, and intellectual property of others.
