How should we approach the development of cyber-policy and infrastructure given the “short arm” of predictive knowledge?

When you think of a business small or big that just started/opened you may think about the security they have in place, some may not even have anything in place yet. But security is a must have in any business for many purposes including threats and breaches. Technology is growing day by day and so are cybercrimes, because the technology is growing so fast it is hard to keep up with such crimes therefore it is very important to have plans/rules to follow to avoid these situations. The most important thing for cyber policy and infrastructure within your business especially the ones that rely solely on technology is making sure all equipment and software is up to date, educating the employees on cyber skills to guarantee skills and knowledge that may be needed in case one of these attacks were to happen because these things can happen spontaneously and it is best to be prepared for the situation. Another example is making sure the people who are skilled or experts for this are the only ones able to access such things within the business, if some things get in the wrong hands this can cause a breach/threat also. A few other ways to approach this is by making sure the business knows how important having cyber policy and infrastructure  is and what kind of losses they can get from this. For the most part it is hard to prepare when technology never stops changing, but just trying to prepare for what it is now is what is most important.
