My time interning at AERMOR will be spent cycling through the six various departments. Specific focus will be on the proposal and bid process from start to finish within each department of the company. The departments and their descriptions include:

Business Development (BD): Identify opportunities, collect information (intel), identify ways to influence the client and gain competitive advantages over other companies. Coordinate NDA’s/Teaming Agreements with potential subcontractors and assist in developing and writing any proposals the company is pursuing.

Recruiting: Research new and effective recruiting strategies; develop recruiting plans; screens applicants and sit in on interviews for potential hires; publicize job openings and manage listing site.

Human Resources (HR): Manage key HR processes and daily admin tasks; ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and legal compliance; provide professional and technical assistance to leadership; acts as liaison between HR and other departments.

IT: Configure and issue all technology needed to complete work per assigned contract. Grant access to sites and files need for said contracts. Monitor computer use, network access, and file access to ensure appropriate use and no unauthorized access. Implement best practices and security controls to protect from potential cyber attacks.

Contracts: Research potential opportunities for bids; track them, organize, draft, and submit proposals.

Finance/Accounting: Generate invoices and process timecards utilizing the Procas System and update financial records and excel records in support of contract finances. Research proposal price points. Conduct internal audits and prepare audit reports for top management.
