I got to participate in many Spanish speaking activities throughout the past through months that have helped me learn more about the Spanish culture and the language.

One activity I got to participate in was Talk Abroad, this allowed us to have 15 minute conversations with people from Spanish speaking countries. I was able to talk about my family and also learn about my partners family life and see cultural differences. We also talked about foods and I learned about cultural dishes from Puerto Rico.

Another activity I did was online conversations with classmates, these conversations were either through chats or recorded videos. In these conversations we read about cultural differences in family life, foods, and even medical services. We got to learn about the Spanish culture and compare it to what we grew up with and then share our thoughts with each other. This activity helped me learn more about the Spanish culture and more about my classmates, I was able to connect with other students through learning about Spanish.
