Football Game<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A couple of my friends from another college came and visited for an Old Dominion football game. it was a great way to spend time with them and get not only myself but also them involved in an activity on campus. They also got to meet my roommate and some of my other friends at ODU which was really fun. Going to football games in college, despite having not really gone to high school, has gotten me interested in the sport and helped boost my school spirit. Go Monarchs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ODU Pumpkin Patch Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I went on the Pumpkin Patch Trip set up by the campus dietitian with two of my friends. It was a good way to be involved with the school and enjoy a fall activity with my friends. I learned about a local farm and it led us to plan more visits in other seasons to enjoy other seasonal activities offered there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sociology Zoo Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went on a Zoo Trip for Sociology with Professor Lopez. This trip was through the Learning Community and taught us the sociological implications behind memorials around the zoo. Additionally we were able to apply human sociology to animal behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry Art Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Barry Art Museum had an exhibition called Fantastic Planet. This statue was huge and it caught our attention immediately, making us interested in the exhibition. There was also live music which was very cool. It was a good way to get involved with the arts at ODU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Study Group<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A couple friends and I claimed a study room to study for our upcoming chemistry exam. By studying in a group, we were better motivated and able to help each other if someone was struggling with any of the content. Group studying helped us focus and study longer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jazz Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few friends and I attended a jazz concert at ODU. I have not really experienced the music students work at ODU besides hearing the band at football games. This concert was really interesting because I did not often listen to the jazz genre and I found the music really beautiful. I am thankful to my friend for asking me to attend the concert and giving me this experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 L\u00ea Planetarium<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My friends and I attended a show at L\u00ea Planetarium about black holes. I learned a lot about black holes and the science behind them. I also learned about different constellations specifically the zodiacs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting with Professor Moloney<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
