My Major at ODU is Nursing with a Minor in Community Health. I chose this major because I have grown up in the medical field. My mom is a Nurse Practitioner and I have have loved watching her work as I have grown up. I also used to run around the house wearing her stethoscope and scrubs. On top of watching my mom work, I have always wanted to help others and nursing will allow me to continue to help as many people as I can I have a little bit of experience in the medical field. I have shadowed a vascular nurse and a nurse anesthetist. In the future I am planning on shadowing a pediatric nurse and an orthopedic.
