In this course I have learned how this perspective can aid people in jobs. It especially helps when dealing with groups that are not as fortunate or might not be of high stature in society.  Social science describes people’s actions and how they choose to behave. This relates with the role of Cybersecurity policy analysts because they use methods from social science to determine why people commit cybercrimes and how to go about prosecuting them. In this profession, they examine how people in different societal groups can be more inclined to commit these crimes. They also identify people who are looked over in life, people who often have been left out or ignored. With this knowledge people who work this job can begin to create different programs that tend to people who possess these qualities.  Using methods like interviewing, surveys, and other social science tactics allow Cybersecurity policy analysts to point out possible dangers on the internet. Studying the possibilities of crime could lessen the crimes that are actually committed. Also, studying how likely these instances are to happen allows them to put in perspective the severity of it and how hurtful it can be. When gathering data it is important to include multiple different perspectives and experiences from all people. People who are looked over in society provide insightful knowledge to the development of change. Using the information gathered analysts are able to identify problems that other people may overlook and make it essential to solve them. Social science is the foundation for guiding Alayna in their solutions. Without it, it would be difficult for them to clearly identify problems within certain groups and then contribute to mitigating them. The rules and perspectives of social science allows analysts to develop plans fair to everyone involved. It is imperative that they use these tactics to make something effective and improve crime.  They listen to what different groups think about cybersecurity and make sure their rules respect people’s privacy and rights.  They also work to help groups that might not have much protection online, like older folks or those who don’t have a lot of money.
