National Defense Service Medal

The oldest ‘service medal’ in the United States, this military honor recognizes those who

served honorably during a designated time period of which a ‘national emergency’ had been

declared during a time of war or conflict.

Global War on Terrorism Service Medal

Military honor to recognizes those military service members who have performed service in

the War on Terror from September 11, 2001, to a date yet to be determined.

Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon

Military honor to recognize those noncommissioned officers (NCO) who have completed a

prescribed leadership course at an NCO training school.

Army Service Ribbon

Military honor awarded to members of the Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard
